We are recently retired and considering some workamping. What should we look for? Pros? Cons?
Not looking to get rich, just make expences for the trips. Don't mind doing some minor mainenance, but also don't want to be someones "slave".
Some of the stories I've read here are LOL crazy.
We are located on the west coast.

Go slow, start slow with a month or two slot. Everyone can do most anything for 6-8 weeks if need be to preserve your good worker history. Then learn what matters to YOU from that valuable life experience.

Are you sure you mean workcamp? Most of us slaves are volunteers who do NOT take money in any form....therefore it is easier to be 'expected' to do more and more. But for the past ten years we have SELECTED carefully where we want to be and what we wish to do - then communicate and ask before you agree. Lovin our give back time and have met many wonderful people.
