Tall Pines Campground

Tall Pines is a family owned business and we are currently seeking a workamping couple to help us from May 15th thru Labor Day (possible extended dates if desired). We are located at the edge of the Catskill Mountains in beautiful upstate New York State, on the banks of the Unadilla River.

Relax by the swimming pool...
canoe or raft down the Unadilla River...
enjoy our many planned activities...
browse through our antique and gift store...
savor an old fashioned ice cream soda or Eddy's BBQ...
tour the Upstate New York countryside... more!

Some of our amenities include

* Conveniently located 3 miles from town, 15 minutes to Oneonta, 30 minutes to Binghamton and Cooperstown, 90 minutes to Albany, and 2 1/2 hours to NYC
* Full Service Canoe Livery with trips on the Unadilla & Susquehanna Rivers
* Old Fashioned Ice Cream & Soda Fountain and Country Gift & Antique Store
* RV & Apartment Rentals
* Theme Weekends and Fun Activities for all ages!
* Pizza Nights, BBQ's, Pancake Breakfast, Snack Bar
* Inground Pool, Volleyball, Basketball, Horseshoes, More!

We will be hiring a workamping couple for store/indoor work, plus an additional person appx 10-20 hours per week to do restroom cleaning, RV and apartment cleaning, gardening and personal cleaning. Additional hours may be available for the workamping couple if they are interested in performing these duties as well (if you are primarily interested in the cleaning position only, please contact me as well to discuss this position in more detail)

We are looking for a workamping couple who would both like to work in the store/food service areas. Both members of the team should be computer literate, able to work with the public, capable of handling operations without supervision, able to mutli-task and operate well under pressure, and able to perform cleaning details as outlined. I have attached an Excel Document that outlines general job duties for the workamping position.

With the exception of Holiday weekends, unexpected events, or special projects, the workamping couple would generally work 3 days per week, usually Saturday, Sunday, and Wednesday for a combined total of 20 to 25 hours per week. Holiday weekends (Memorial Day, 4th of July, & Labor Day) may require that you work Friday and Monday as well, plus you may be needed occasionally for extra hours if the scheduled person cannot work. Since our schedule slows down after Labor Day, if you choose to stay past that date the days that you work may change and more outside work may be needed.

In exchange for your 20 hours of work, we would offer a full hookup site with water, electric and septic or a water/electric site with pumpout (both valued at our daily rate of $27 per day), store and restaurant discounts, and use of the canoes or kayaks (you will need to provide your own transportation if you would like to bring them up-river or you may go out with a pre-booked group). Any additional hours per week will be paid at $7.50 per hour in cash. WiFi is always available at the rec hall and is often available at your campsite. Telephone and cable TV hookup is available through the local phone and cable companies.

If you have any questions, please feel to email me at tallpinescampground@yahoo.com, respond to this post, or call me at 607-563-8271.

Sincerely,
Gayle Bennett
