It depends on which state you live in. Here in Tennessee we have a high sales tax and are permitted to use that tax for federal tax purposes on large purchace items.

Better yet, register the RV in Florida. No PPT, annual tag fee under $100. Life is good in South Florida (except for August, September and October).
