Eye Glasses

Went cheap and glad I did. America's best, and a big surprise, just got the second two pair( got the first two pair 4 months ago) Well broke the bow so I'm going to bite the bullet and purchase New frames. At the store they want to do a retest, o k it's free, or already paid for. They say my prescription has changed and they are replacing one lens on all four pair I have for free. Wow so I ask if there is a different frame for the the broken pair as I will most likely do it again. They say just go pick out the frame that I like. ok I do and then , this is under warranty, WHAT, SERVICE,WHAT NO COST. Good prescription Good service and free WOW. And the original price very good also. With the eye exam in the cost of glasses from $60 and up for two pair, of course just like most places if you want hardened lens that is extra as is typical. I would recommend the "Americas Best" and I have no affiliation.

Do you mean: Save Money at America's Best | Discount Eyeglasses ??
(IMO posts are more helpful and interesting if you include a link).

BTW, my family has purchased inexpensive eye glasses from Zenni Optical for many years.. http://www.zennioptical.com/?gclid=C...FQiraQod3ygJSg

We've been Zenni customers for the last 5 years and recommend them all the time.

Thanks guys for the links. It's time to take the family for eye check ups and looks like I be saving some money on frames/lens.

Happy Holiday and safe travels!!

Good service and pricing from costco for several years. Might have to investigate the other options mentioned. Thanks.

I know, an elderly thread but it might just be one that will save me a few bucks. I am 'stuck' with having to see an ophthalmologist regularly as I'm having some macular problems and in a week will have my first cataract surgery followed in a month with the second. This means at least new lenses at $250/pair times twice needed this year on top of the not covered by insurance part of my treatments - and it is getting expensive with the $hots in my left eye .......
