I just returned from a trip, thru GA, AL, TN, NC and several other SE states. Every time I looked at a FJ or Pilot station for fuel, they were much higher than other local stations. They proudly say that they will give you a 1 cent discount, if you jump through all their hoops. They were the ones that first posted a $4.00 or more per gallon fee, when other stations around them were as much as 10 cents below $4.00. I don't plan to buy any more Diesel from FJ or Pilot, unless they are the only station arround and I am about to run dry! And that's my 2 cents worth!

The Flying J in Brunswick, Ga. is the cheapest around. I'm currently staying in St. Marys, Ga. and the Petro there is more expensive than up the road at the Flying J.

I totally agree with you. I was going to fill my tank at a Pilot. As I approached I saw a huge line of cars and trucks waiting to get into the place so I decided against it. The price at the time was $4.17 per gallon. I decided to head back home and found that I could get into a Hess station with very little problem. I paid $3.99 per gallon.

Flying J/Pilot have a "captive" crowd. The are just off of most interstates so it is convenient and most long haul truckers must use them or find another truck stop. They can set their price higher because they know the will get the business regardless.

I won't purchase from them unless they are the only place around and I am runnin on empty.

Is there a "protocol" for staying overnight in your RV at Truck Stops? I've never stayed at a truck stop but want to do a little more boondocking for the quick overnight stays. I can't see paying at RV campgrounds all the time when I just need to sleep and be on my way to my destination. Any helpful recommendations for a first time Truck Stop rest will help greatly..I like to try and be as polite as possible as to make my stay and those after me better. Any problem with truck drivers?

Last time I was in a FLying-J (late May as I recall) it was Beaverdam OH.

The Restaurant there was a Denny's and would not even take my Loyalty card so that did not affect my gas prices. I got my 2 cents off, Paid with a debit card 3.509/gallon.

Headed down the road and found... 3.76 about 1 exit away.. Lowest pirce in 3 states was right where I spent the night very
