Check Camping World for folding bikes. I have a couple of single speed 20 inchers that have carried thru out Europe and the states for over thirty years.

Bike Friday makes a folding model...all of theirs are small wheeled bikes, but with 'normal bike' performance. Also, Dahon is in the same category. Both with good industry reputations.

We have two of the steel six speed Yeah folding bikes from Camping World.
They fold and unfold very quick and easy. Ride is fine. Weight is a little havier than the more expensive aluminum models. Price was right at 2 for $299 when we bought them. We did add replacement seats. The originals were a real pain in the butt.
A word of caution: DO NOT-REPEAT DO NOT leave these bikes outside anywhere near salt spray or a coastal storm. Everything that is not painted will rust. That means the chain, sprockets, cable quides, spokes, folding brackets, seat posts, handle bars, etc. Trust me, we know.

I recently purchased a folding bike off Craigslist.....its a BMW ( promotion ) 24 speed mountain bike......all Aluminum construction......that folds in 1/2 and fits perfect in the basement of our Tiffin 35DH. Not sure who made it for BMW's promo......but very well built and fits our needs perfect !

Folding bikes are like many things, you get what you pay for. I have a Dahon I use it every day for a 12 mile round trip to and from the comuter rail. If all you want is a bike to toot around the campground a cheap (under $300) do. If you are looking for transportation and long term use look for the higher end bikes. They can take salt air and heavy use.

All folding bicycles may be seen on one website here: Bikefold - Dahon, Montague, Bike Friday and more folding bikes and portable folding bicycles in Laguna Beach, California
It is easier to compare brands, models, and styles when they are together.

I have a Montague and love it. When unfolded it is a full-size bike and very high quality. Probably the best bicycle I have owned AND it folds up.

We've had a pair of Dahon folding 6 spd, 20" bikes for 30 years. I finally changed the tubes and tires this past year, otherwise, I have no question that they'll outlast us.

We chose Citizen............couple of hundred $$ each, but half the weight of the Camping World model. Opt to comfy seat, rack and storage bag.
By the way.......my first post. Have just been into the RV life for 5 weeks now. Sold the stick and mortar and hitting the road in mid April for 7 months.........can't wait.
