Homemade a/c filter

Any suggestions as to what I could use in place of my a/c filter that disintegrated upon washing, lol??

Go to Lowe's and purchase THIS one. Then cut to size. You can vacuum and wash it as many times as you want.

It is usually on the same shelf as the window air conditioners.
