I write out menus for our six days of camping. Then I shop for food. Much of what we eat can be made ahead of time. Seal a meal works great. Some food is frozen. The last day of camping we treat ourselves to Dennys. That is on the way home.

I grew up in a town where almost everyone was money poor. Sunday dinner was running around in the yard and we ate beans and tatters the rest of the week. I still like beans and tatters, as long as there is a pork chop.
