OK they have 18 parks and give a small discount on PA and HH, after you join escapees. I may be interested in the mail service.

Check out the YouTube channel, Next Exit. They bought a TT membership for $4000 and something like $600 a year dues and stay in every campground they are at for free unless they upgrade to 50 amps which is an extra $3. If you do the math at $35 a night the $4600 a year will pay for itself in the first 131 days or 4.3 months. I've never been a big fan of camping memberships but after watching a number of his videos I'm kind of re-thinking my position. this Next Exit guy is really happy with it.

That $4000 is once and done, too. After that you pay only the annual dues of (this year) just under $575.

I have been following this YouTube channel as well. Not only do they give lots of info on such things, they give their actual budget numbers for the last year and a half. This is helpful to newbies trying to figure stuff out, especially budgets. We have bought the passport America pass two winters in a row. At 44 dollars, it only takes a few nights to get your money back. We found you had to look up the individual campgrounds websites to find out about restriction. Almost every PPA campground has some. Some wont allow you to camp on weekends. Some only in the winter. Some only in the summer. Some only a max of two days. Every one is different. Looking up their websites was the easiest way to determine. We used them at least three times a week, for the whole winter. This adds up to a lot of savings. I agree that lots of them are in decline. We found many of them were previously KOA campgrounds. You could tell by the A frame office. Since we were only looking for an overnight with full services, they fit the bill. We used PA twice on our most recent trip and it was for just as you posted, an over night to get off the road and stretch out. It has already paid for the rest of the year.

We just did a 600 mile trip which involved 2 nights both spent in PPA camp grounds.
One park was new and awesome and the other older and tight spaces. Either way, for about $20, having full hook ups and security is much better than boon docking in a unfamiliar parking lot.

Try to find one that allows for Park-to-Park travel with no out time. That will allow you to leave one park and pull into another the same day. The Trails Collection add-on is awesome and pays for itself usually the first week you use it.

I would say get a zone pass for a year I believe 550.00 this gets you 2 weeks in TT and you have to be out for 7 days to go to another, each zone is extra but it is a good way to try before you commit, you may have some difficulty in the Florida area during peak season at some parks but we have got most of the reservations we asked for.

You are correct and 1 more ownership layer is Equity Lifestyle. That is the parent company of the whole enchilada. We lived in one of their (7 years) Mobile Home parks out in CA and the residents had to sue and won!. Left a bad taste in my mouth, so not sure if I want to give them more $$ ever...

We brought our used Class A home today. Time to clean it and move all the stuff over from our travel trailer....love the RV life!!
