This past Monday my family & I headed to Knobles Grove Campgroung & Amusement park w/ our Class A (height 12'2") & a car on the tow dolly. When we arrived I followed my friends that had a pop-up into the main campground entrance. When we approached the covered wooden bridge into the campground we were directed my a guard to go over the bridge. as i heade toward the bridge I noticed the height of the bridge was 11'6" high (I'm 12'2"). I abruptly stopped & told the guard. He said"Oh No!" & instructed me to take the towed car off so I could turn around. After disconnecting & turning around we were directed into another entrance. Traveling down toward regis. the road was blocked by a pickup truck trying to disconnect from a trailer with a sway bar stuck. The driver tried to pull away but pulled the trailer off the jacks. Later as I pulled into into the campsite & found that there were no sewer or water hookups(or cable- no TV reception) in the park. As I travel with little water in the tank I had to pull out & find a fill station. Had a great time @ the Amusement Park, cheap rides & food! (I would recommend it even with the above problems!) Upon leaving, was dumping the black water (using my new sewer hose) & the RV end w/ a clamp blew off spewing crap. Quickly shut it down &replaced clamp. The trip homw should have been 3 hrs. but due to 2 accidents, teeming rain, & a fuel spill, it took 5 hours! Even with all of this, had a great time & I do love camping!!!

Having been to "K Grove" I know it is a tight squeeze in there. Upon seeing that I found J&D just down the road and lake Glory (Glory Lake). Both are very nice campgrounds but the fact that "the lake" has a shuttle that runs to the park (because the park owns it) made it my choice.
I will be at J&D in Sept for a "letterboxing" get together.

We stayed at KNoebels this spring and thoroughly enjoyed it. Went in with 200 gallons of water and had no problems, even hooked up my buddies trailer to the outside hose when he ran out.... Great park and in the early part of the year they have pay one price and it's GREAT. We met the owners and found them very friendly, they were kind enough to let CBS film within the campground for a rv story they were doing.
