This is my last post before campvention. We are already on site and things are being prepared for the rest of the people to arrive on Thursday and Friday.

Well Campvention has come and gone and we truely had a great time. We had 690 families in the end representing about 1750 people. We had a great youth program with about 95 registered, a teen program with with 115 registered and lots of things to keep adults of all ages entertained. Everyone said the nightly entertainment was great each night and we still had a full hpouse every night when they finished. We had a great Teen Queen pageant, and Miss Pennsylvania won and Miss Ohio was first runner up.
we had agreat in town noise parade with over 150 vehicles and the town repaid us with a great in campground noise parade with all the fire trucks, and a little water as well.
We all enjoyed our own Tim Hortons coffee shop on the grounds and it was very busy. We took pictures of 15 golf carts waiting in the drive through lane.LOL
Can't wait till Pueblo Colorado next year.
IT WAS A BLAST.

Its interesting to go through the withdrawal pains after staging such an event. We plan for something for two plus years and then bang its all over in about 10 days. But the memories are still sweet and the thanks that we got from the campers who attended will last a long time. Must be time to plan another???LOL

Thanks for the quick response rebelsbeach. George the Colorado Campvention will be held at the fairgounds there in Pueblo, and all sites will have electricity.
We just finished a very successful campvention here in Blyth, Ontario with about 690 familes. Its a blast to be the chairmen of such an event. Volunteers just came out of the wood work. We had over 120 families volunteer to help stage the event.
On the way back from Colorado it would be very convenient to stop into Branson to experience an irv2 rally as well.
I have my irv2 decals right next to my FCRV decals. You can see it in the picture that I have posted under photographs.

Hugh and Bob,

I would love to travel to Pueblo and Branson next summer. I'll keep you posted on advances toward that as a goal.

Just a note to all FCRVers who were at campvention, our favorite Policeman/volunteer fireman has died of his injuries from a car accident while he was on duty. The accident was one month ago and the funeral (a full Ontario Provincial Police funeral) will be tomorrow. Before the accident he did complete the marathon in Victoria and he made enough money to purchase the defribilator for the fire department. He was a very special person and all who met him at Campvention will remember him.
