We spent 3 weeks in Florida 2 summers ago with 2 grandparents (us) & 4 teenage grandkids. Then another week with all the above plus our daughter & son-in-law. Four adults & 4 grandkids. All this in a 36 ft. Allegro Bus A. Let the daughter & son-in-law have the BR. Grandma slept on the sofa bed with 1 granddaughter. I slept in the passanger seat using it as a recliner. Grandson & 2 granddaughters slept on the floor in blanket rolls. Wall to wall. Had a great time. Everyone spent most of each day outside. Much more elbow room that way.

Three summers ago we rented a 31' class C so we could test out the RVing lifestyle. (Needless to say it fit us well as we are on our second RV since then).

DW and I plus 4 and 5 year old daughters plus the 17 year old son, plus my in-laws. First few nights the girls slept with mom and dad in the queen rear BR. Man what a squeeze. In-laws had the fold out dinette and couch for beds and the teenager had the queen size cab-over to himself. After a few nights the girls bunked with their grandma and grandpa to let mom and dad breath a little.

It was a full house and it was huge fun. Went to Mesa Verde, the Grand Canyon and Zion all in one trip.

Your trip is probably already over, but I bet you had a blast.

we ordered our TH to maximize on sleeping. we can officially sleep 8. That's two in a queen bed and 6 in singles (quad bunks in front). we also got the ramp room which will hold another queen air matress and the floor below the rear bed will hold another Queen air matress. that puts us to 12 still in beds. the rest can have the floor or pop a tent.

our TV can only hold 5 so they have to be old enough to drive if they're a-comin!

We did something similar a few years back. My wife and I, our two kids and my mother and father-in-law, all in a 30 class C.

I might of been a little cramped, for the two weeks that we were gone, but it was filled with VERY good memories. We ALL talk about it often.

During the summer of 1977 we enjoyed a six week tour of the West, spending 4 weeks in Reno. "We" included Mom and Dad, Grandmother, four children and two Cocker Spaniels. Our home away from home was a 19' Broughm Mini. Right, that was 19'. Mom and Dad slept in the front overhead bunk. Two children slept in the Cabinet Bunk (remember them?), while Grandmother and two children slept on the rear Dinette Bed. The dogs slept wherever. It rained on us twice, each time very briefly. Luggage, etc went under the Motorhome when we stopped. Needless to say, the family really bonded. It was a great trip that all still remember fondly.

How encouraging reading about all of your successful trips with a "house" full! I agree. When you have a lot of family, you can't have anything but fun. Somehow it always works out space wize.

Ron and I just downsized our home, because we want to spend more time on the road and less time with house maintenance. We look forward to our grandchildren (6 with 1 on the way) coming for visits. Although we only have one spare bedroom, it's never a problem. The teens would rather sleep on the floor in our room anyhow!

Enjoy! The more the merrier!

We go to Disney World at least once a year, me and the Mrs, with three adopted and two foster special needs children. We often have help in the form of a daughter and grandkids who sometimes ride with us, and sometimes meet us there. We have a screen room that houses two high-rise queen mattresses (and a Christmas tree when appropriate). A couple of playpens for the little ones can sit in the expanded floor space with the slide extended. The wheelchairs travel in the trailer, which also provides good multi-purpose storage during the stay. FT Wilderness and the parks have something for everyone. I can't think of a better way to travel or a better place to travel to.
