1 month away.

Just finished last of 4 garage sales. Kids and grandkids have what they want, rest is going to charity. We close on our house in less than 3 weeks. Official retirement dat is April 26. We hit the road May 1 ! Our awesome God has heard and answered every prayer!! Can't wait to see what else He has in store for us!

Congrats Jermes! I retire May 31st, but we will only do about 7 months on the road a year. We did the sell the house thing back in 2005, too young to be able to afford living fulltime on the road. Enjoy my friend and will be watching for your posts! In the fall we are heading to Utah and then south to Quartzsite. Have fun!

So what is your plan as far as full timing goes? Goals to meet, full time life focus, length of full time life style? It's interesting to see the different road maps full timers have chosen.

Travel is first and foremost! We've worked hard the last 40 years and rarely took time for a real vacation. Time off was spent remodeling a century old house. DH has 2 years left for retirement so he will work some temp jobs in the medical field. I am an artist so I will have more time for my hobby and hopefully hit some festivals or art shows. Mostly rest and enjoy life!

A couple of years ago, we camp hosted at Hot Springs National Park in AR and they had a volunteer artist program there. They offered free use of a fully furnished stone CC built cabin for 2 weeks or longer with the artist donating a painting, picture, poem, or their speciality skill to be put on display in the park.

So happy for both of you. I agree, with your eagerness I think you will enjoy every moment, well, almost every moment. RV time is the best time. Stop when you want to stop, go when you want to go, stay where you want to stay. Have a blast
