You are going thru the worst part right now...getting rid of all the things you thought you needed to be happy. Look at it as merely separation anxiety, interrupted by determination and hard work. We moved out of our house of 23 years on July 1 and are amazed at how comfortable our new rolling home is! We still need to get rid of more things...because they are in the way and cost fuel to carry around.

Being in Oregon, you undoubtedly have your eyes set on going east. After living in Florida, we have our eyes set on going west. What a country...life is good!

Thanks everyone!

We did it! Out and about but not to far yet, just as we finalized the last bit of move out of our home mother in law broke her leg, father in law can't hardly walk so we are now care givers, but at least we are in our motorhome Fortunatly we are getting them in a safer living situation and then back to my mother's home to help with estate sale as she is in a different living situation then maybe we can feel a bit like vacationer's for awhile!

Envy you all!!
Planned on being full timers by now, I actually retired in '98 but kept working till my wife can retire.
Parents got older and required more time. So delayed it some more.
Moved all their stuff to our house. They died in 2005. Still have their "stuff"
Step daughter died in 2008.
Moved her stuff and two grandsons into our house.
Still have her stuff and one grandson at home.
Now the wife's health has gone south (wish we were!!)
Not sure when/if we'll ever go full timing as the one grandson is almost 13 so some 5 years to go with him in school. By that time I'll be 71.
Hopefully my wife will recover and my health will hold, but you never know do you?
