My husband and I first began fulltiming in 1998 when I was 57 or so...and he was 61. We did it for about 3 years...then settled down in central Florida. NOW...more than 10 years later, we're about to do it again...he's 71 and I'm 67. Weve sold our earthly belongings, AGAIN, and just bought a 1999, 36 ft. Pace Arrow and look forward to spending quality time in CA with our son and in MN with our family. If you have the energy, and the impetus...go for it. Age is irrelevant. This time around...we hope to fulltime, till we can't drive any longer!!!

I was 51 and DW was 49 when we went full-time in March, 1999. We are still full-time and still loving it! We do volunteer 8-9 months out of the year for all National agencies so always have something to do and love a new adventure in a new location. Still haven't found that perfect place to settle (maybe because we just are not ready to "settle" yet)!

We retired in Jan, 08 and became full-timers in June, 08 when our first motorhome was completed. I was 55 and DH was 49.

At the five year mark, we'll reevaluate whether we want to continue to full-time. By that time we should have covered all the places we want to see. Sometime in the future we hope to be able to live in Hawaii at least part of the year in a place with an ocean view and lower than 1500 ft in altitude.

We hit the road full time in Jan 2008 when I was age 55. My DW of 35+ years is much younger.

We sold our house and moved into our MH 4 years prior to rreaching our early retirement age, however, during this period we were basically stationary. We basically took our wonderful mobile home on short weekend trips and the typical 2 and 3 week annual vacations.

So depending how you count, we're either in our 7th, or 3rd, year of non-stick built, homeless, full timing. We're still enjoying it and hopefully will be doing this for at least next 5 years and maybe 10 or more.

We're currently enjoying the snow in central Texas. I'm sure if we were still working and had to travel in this we would be hating the snow...... but since we're in no hurry it is really enjoyable to relax and enjoy the white, winter, scenery.

I was 59, but the economic situation forced me to return to work last summer. Hopefully I will return as full timer in a year or so, My advise would be to make sure sure you are financially solid. before you make the jump.

Full time

Started in 1999. I'm now 63; better half not as old We Workamp. When the better half is old enough to draw her SS as I do now, we're hoping to start volunteering for shorter gigs and travel more. Yippee

You all started at a tender young age. I started July 2006 at age 65 years and 9 months in the first RV I ever owned. I am happy with it and will never change RV's. I haven't looked back once. Ours is a great lifestyle.
