Allergy issue so need low pollen counts

Last winter spent it on the Gulf Coast about 5 or 6 miles inland in the Tampa area. Yikes, was the tree pollen bad. DW was miserable. Is the east coast better? If so, how far inland can I go and still have low pollen counts? I kinda don't want to get salt from the air all over the rig.

Pollen comes from weeds, grasses and trees. Usually at different times of the year. Think some weather channels can give you pollen counts at your desired locations. And if you are lucky, past readings.

Scooter - I have the weather app on my phone that gives current pollen counts from weeds, trees, and grass. I do look at that but will fire up the laptop to see if I can get last Marches pollen counts - thanks

A Google search will find maps of the US with allergen ratings. Then you need to know what you are allergic to. I used them several years ago when I decided to move to SoCal (has been a good change - no more recurring debilitating severe headaches and no shots - oral meds only).

Allergy sufferer all my life...

I would think the southwest generally has lower pollen counts. Lower humidity means less mold in case you are allergic to that, too.

I am allergic to what ever pollinates.
Allergy meds are part of life but one thing you can do is use an air purifier to remove allergens from inside your camper so she can at least sleep.

Agree - on the house I have an electronic filter on thre HVAC system, as well as two large standalone units and two smaller standalone shelf units in smaller rooms. Making your bedroom a allergen refuge is usually a must.

In the coach I have a smaller unit that provides good service.

In Florida, if you want to avoid the pollen, you have to stay on the east coast, as close to the water and ocean breezes as possible.if you get west of route 1 too much pollen.

If there are no plants the area is often called ARID, thus you need an ARID ZONE.. how about Arizona.. Epically down around I-10.

In fact I highly recommend the area of I-10 and Arizona State Route 95 (SR-95) in the month of January. Epically the last half of January.

I had the same problem but it got so bad I had Astmatic hay fever. And I was in the landscaping buss. At the time 30 yrs ago my grandfather made me a tonic when He saw how bad I was suffering I got major relief and with only drinking the tonic for 2 summers I know look forward to the spring. It consists of 2 tblspoone. Honey 2 tblspoone.apple cider Viniger preferably hienz or Bragg. In a 10 oz. glass of cold water mix really well and if you have a sinus infection you can heat this in a microwave for about 40 secs and drink it as a tea and watch your sinus drain and headache go away I have a friend who has asthma and he uses this in an atomizer he can run and jog and he no longer needs his inhaler.

The southwest for sure. Since you're fulltiming look at the SW desert for your winters. Perfect weather, dry and very low pollen counts.

Yup - this is typically where to be for allergy sufferers. I lived for three years in the high desert of SoCal. Was symptom free the whole time. Only time in my life.

IMHO the "5 or 6 miles inland" was more the culprit than anything else.

The prevailing winds are westerly, had you been on the coast, you wouldn't have had a single tree upwind of you for more than 500 miles.

My DW has the same issues, on the west coast of FL, no problem, inland 70 miles at my folks place a little east of Lake Wales, she's miserable.
