Does anybody use RVMCA mail forwarding?

We live in Florida and it's in Florida and we don't want to change our residency.

Thanks,

First of all, merely using a different mail address does not automatically change your legal residency (domicile). No single thing does and a convenience mail address (a forwarding service) is not in itself of major significance. If you have other ties to Florida (e.g. your vehicle regs and dirver licenses, bank accounts, maybe some property or maybe paid tangible income tax) and have previously declared Florida as your domicile, your residency should be safe. So if you would prefer to use another forwarder, most likely you can do so withou jeopardizing your Flroida status.

On the other hand, keeping a Florida address can only reinforce your claim to Florida residency, and will raise fewer eyebrows if you have to use your mail address on some transaction where residency is important.

As for RVMCA themselves, I have no experience. In fact, I never heard of them until you posted this and I checked their web site for info. The service sounds fine, if they do what they say...

I am not aware of anyone who personally uses them. However, they started doing mail service for boaters for several years. They were than asked to start doing the mail service for Holiday Rambler and have been doing so for at least 4 years. I have met the owner and they seem like very nice people. The fact they are still doing the mail for HR would indicate they are doing a good job.
I have compared them to several services such as Escapees, FMCA and others. I believe they are very competitive and will give them a try when we "take off" in a few months.

Thanks for the responses. I'm retiring in a few months and they seem to fit my needs so I'll give them try.

All of that is true, I've lived here for about 27 years so I don't want to rock the boat.

What was the outcome of using RVMCA? We just bought a new Travel Supreme and in our owners packet was a flyer for them. We currently use Alternative Resources for mail forwarding but RVMCA is less expensive and seems to offer a little more. The only problem so far seems to be full-timers insurance. I called the insurance company they recommended, who writes for Progressive, and was told that they couldn't write insurance unless the tow vehicle would be in the state for 10 months out of the year. Has anyone come across that problem?

Has anyone heard of Earth Class Mail? It think they have around 20 addresses throughout the US. We were having mail forwarded by my daughter-in-law, but receiving a ton of junkand it was becoming very expensive. With their service, you manage your mail all ONLINE! They scan it, recycle, shred, archive and even forward the things you need. SUPER easy and convenient! If you haven't heard of them, WORTH the look!

Check them out: www.earthclassmail.com

Welcome to iRV2 traveling427!

I have heard of that service, and I can see where some folks would like that arrangement, but I wouldn't want anyone but me opening my mail.

I'm not familiar with a company named RVMCA. However, since going fulltime we have used St Brenden's Isle in Green Cove Springs, Florida.
They're at www.boatmail.com

Any time I want my mail forwarded I just email them. Sometimes I call the toll-free number. They'll ship UPS, FedEx or USMail.

I agree with Digital Boy, We used St Brendans Isle last year and they were very easy to deal with and very accomodating. We plan on using them again when we head out for Texas next month.

St Brenden's Isle recently updated their web site to all for email requests to forward mail. Very convenient!
