DW and I are thinking about using America's Mailbox in SD.
Is anyone using this service now and how do you like this company.
Thanks

Send a message via ICQ to Fred and Bonnie
We signed-up last month, and while that's like yesterday, the opearation is First Class, especially when compared to the local UPS store that we have used for the last few years.

I have contacted them both by email and phone, same excellent service.

The "Tips and Trick" link on their web site has been a gold mine of information in establishing our domicile.

Good luck

Fred

I do not know where they are. My insurance agent in Souix Falls said to use My Home Address in Emery, SD because the very small town address results in lower insurance rates. I have had very good service from them for 4 years now and have no complaints.

Terri is always prompt with good answers and actually walked some of our forms over to the court house.

While you didn't ask for other recommendations, I am giving another vote for My Home Address in Emery. We had to quickly get our vehicles registered and new ins after our ins canceled us for not having a physical address in NV. They were extremely helpful, efficient and has reasonable rates. After 4 1/2 years, no problems, always friendly.

We have been using Alternative Resources in Sioux Falls... very good. Also, they are ONE Building away from the SD DMV Office... very very helpful...

Wow, it sounds like there are many more options than I originally thought.
Thanks for all the replies

We have been with Americas Mailbox for almost 3 years. It is a GREAT company. Don, the owner, is a FT RVer. Pennington County doesn't have a wheel tax, so that's a saving from some of the other SD communities. We will absolutely remain Americas Mailbox Members.

John, we've talked to several who are using America's Mailbox and all are happy with them. We're using MyHomeAddress, too. I highly recommend you visit whomever you choose. It makes all your communications much more personable.

One thing I'd pass along is ensure to talk with each post office you choose to have your mail sent to via General Delivery - don't rely on just the 800 USPS number. The General Delivery procedures (holding periods) are inconsistent across the USPS units. Be very careful using General Deliver to the Fredericksburg, VA area (zip code 22401). This post office requires you to certify in writing that you're a transit before accepting your General Delivery mail.

Good luck! David

I was searching for reviews on this company, and came across this web sit, so I joined. I'd like to reply to your question, we just signed up with them last month, so we really have not "used" them yet, but Good Sam says they are ok, and we also checked the BBB on them. Hope that helps a little.
