For potential full timers and others. Here is a CNN analysis of tax by state.

Tax

Here it is for email only IRV'rs:

Anybody know of software that does a case by case analysis?

Each time I see NH way up on one of these lists I wonder why I changed my domicile - then I remember - the taxes on my house were $10,000 per year, the plates for my motor home cost $1400 per year and for my 99 Honda, $280.
Plus, although they don't have a state income tax they do tax interest and dividend income. Other than Social Security, guess what most retired people's income consists of?

The lack of a sales tax can help mitigate that but if you full time and buy most things out of the state it doesn't help.
