Well, since July 2016 I have been researching, planning, selling, buying, and in every way being a pain in the neck to my wife.
We moved out of our rental house yesterday, stayed in a hotel last night, and moved into the RV tonight.
We are Colorado bound until our car is repaired from an accident last week (bummer) and the kid is graduating High School next Wednesday.
Free at last, free at last, free at last!
It has been one heck of a year. But I prefer to remember only the last 24 hours and forward!
We have reservations at Buckley Air Force base Famcamp starting Monday 5/15, but couldn't find anything for tonight through Monday morning. On a whim I call the US Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs - who had an opening
So our first night on the road is in an outstanding treed location, with unlimited Verizon mifi hotspot for 100.00 for 3 days. The site is 27.00 per night, mifi is 5.00 per night, and I bought a water pressure regulator and sewer doughnut.
It is beautiful here and extremely quiet/peaceful. But, it is not without problems.
I have a water leak at my water pump - I tried to fix a few days ago but did not have water so couldn't test my fix. Turns out the break I caught when I bought a PEX crimping tool at a great price wasn't so great. The crimp isn't holding
So if anyone is at the academy Famcamp and you have a crimp tool stop by site 10 or just stop by anyways
I am going to get my writing and blog up and running again starting tomorrow! Good times are ahead I hope. The rig ran perfectly from Denver to Colorado Springs, wife and kid are starting to relax, and so am I FINALLY!!!
