Do you still have to pay maintenance fee if you own an rv lot?

To my understanding you would own a very small portion of the park. I know that you don't have to worry about lot fees but are there monthly maintenance fees similar to an apartment?

A maintenance fee probably will pay for swimming pool, road upkeep, mowing common areas, laundry room, meeting area and any other recreation area in the park.

As well as common area electric , refuse removal and usually an onsite manager. I owned a site in West Palm Beach and the fee was $200 a month. I tripled my investment because it was very well maintained.

Owned lots is kind of like a Condo, or a house.

If you own the land around, (Title to the property) you likely do not have to pay but you do mow lawn, trim trees, maintain fences and such. (IF you own the lot like you own your house, then,, Same thing)

But if it is a lot in an RV park, All you own is the rights to the spot.. You still have to pay the park for lawn mowing, Water, sewer, you likely pay someone for electric, the park also maintains the pools and common buildings, and such,, Just like a condo or trailer park.

If you purchase a deeded lot in a development such as Latitude 49 Resort Park - a Seaside Resort Community, yes you will pay maintenance fees. Afterall, someone as to pay for the amenities.

If you "purchase" a share of a park such as http://www.birchbayleisurepark.com/, you will still have to pay fees for the amenities. The difference here is that in Leisure Park, you do not own the land as it is a co-op.

There are rules and restrictions that apply to both types. If you do not follow the R&Rs in the co-op, they can tell you you to get out.

If you don't follow the R&Rs in the deeded property, the association can fine you, if you don't pay, a lein can be placed on your property.

You might not like the way things are but the R&Rs are there to protect property values
