DVD......Xbox

E have a class A with a flat screen up front, 2 flip downs in the bunkhouse and 1 tv in rear bedroom. There are 2 splitters/routers up front that the tv lines, RCA cords, etc plug into. Is it possible to add a DVD up front? Or Xbox to the bunkhouse flip downs? All the wiring is very confusing...

The answer to your question will depend upon what year and model coach you have. I was able to get a wiring diagram for my coach from Fleetwood that took the mystery out of what went where. I have a TV up front, one midship, one in the rear, and an exterior. The wiring up front, except for antenna, does not go to the rear or exterior. Without the wiring diagram I would have been lost figuring it out.

If your only wanting to hook up the DVD or the Xbox to ONE of the TV's or flipdowns, it really will only require a set of open jacks on that TV or flipdown. Check and see if there are any open on either and you can wirre it directly there, just as you would to a house TV. Most flat panels have numerous connections so multiple devices can be plugged into them. Even my little 19" LCD that came in my TT has a few spare connections for AUX1 or componet connections.

If it does, its as simple as hooking up the proper cables and switching the INPUT selection on the TV to whatever you hook into. A HDMI connection would be easiest since one cable gives the the video adn sound and best picture/sound quality. Most of the combination radio/DVDplayer units that are in trailer or MH do not use this connection so check to see if your TV or flipdowns have one and your one cable away from having your Xbox or DVD or Blueray player hooked up.

Good Luck!
