We are full timers and are thinking about changing our current South Dakota mailing address to the Escapees South Dakota mailing address. How is the service and is anyone using the mail scanning feature?

Used them for 16+ years - excellent service with no errors. Their price is good, too, compared to others.

We switched from a UPS mailbox store to Escapees in Texas and are pleased with the service and the price. We do not pay for the scan service as we find it almost as cheap and convenient just to have it sent. However if I had a time sensitive issue going on I would for a while.

Make sure you fully explore how Escapees has implemented its South Dakota service. It is my understanding that the SD address is primarily for "legal" documents and that it is intended that "routine" mail use a separate TX address.

There are a number of excellent SD mail forwarding services that provide physical addresses; some even provide free scanning services. We've been using MyDakotaAdress.com in Madison SD for 5 years and saw no particular advantages to changing to Escapees.

I found out the same info for their FLA address. It should be used for state specific legal stuff ( vehicle registration, drivers license, etc). All other mail will go through Texas. I understand the Florida address qualifies as an "official physical address" in case one is needed. A physical address is required to transfer a CDL from another state.
