LLC insurance is higher and fewer companies offer it. Don't forget the toad costs in your calculations.
In the end it wasn't worth it for the extra hassle involved.
We were living in FL for many, many years but switched to SD. This saved us 2% on the sales tax so it was worth it for us. Like everything else there are pros and cons. The other pro was cheaper insurance. The con is higher vehicle registration costs.

I will definitely look into that - thank you for the tip! Our coach MSRP is just below $300k, so I don't think we'd have any additional registration costs. It looks like we could do the LLC for 1 year in MT and then transfer to our residence in TN and be good to go, but we shall see
