FL mail forwarding domicile, Insurance, voting registration etc.....

If our home ever sells we plan to fulltime in FL, most likely between a few different campgrounds.

Anyone have good experience with a service in FL?

If so, please respond about vehicle registration, voting, healthcare insurance, mail forwarding and anything else I am forgetting.

I am employable, educated and hardworking so I know I should be able to find some kind of work............

It ain't easy. For a person to get a drivers Lic you will have to have a current drivers lic, two other forms of ID. Something showing your FL address. Propety Tax bill, Receipts for rental property, utilities bills. Without them you will not get a License. They say this is a requirement of homeland Security. Remember Florida trained several of the pilots of the 9/11 terriost attack. To register your vehicles you'll have the same requirements.... plus an officer will have to inspect your vehicle VIN Number plate, compare yoyur current registration with the plates on the vehicle. And a bill of sale. now, you get to pay for plates, reguistration and did I mention maybe a sales tax? UPS And FEDX all hav e mail boxes and some have forwarding services. Again the FEDS are watching and they want to know why you want mail forwarded. We moved from Tampa to an area near FT Myers (100 miles) and it took us a couple of trips to get everythng transfered to our new address. We call it FUN in the SUN. In larger cities the wait is longer and the people are not as accomadating. Good luck.

Fast Forward FL Address Service with Mail Forwarding - Florida Home Base - RV Vehicle Registration 866 624 5523

it is not that hard to get a Florida drivers license.

This link gives what paper work is needed.

It does help to have a FL mailing address ahead of time. With some of the forms needed sent there.

Passport America has a mail forwarding in FL

Wow since 1999! Am I to assume you use Passport and declare FL as your residence?

I've been using St Brennens Isle in St augustine for 5 years and they are great. Look them up on the net and give them a call. You will be satisfied with them

Yes I have been a Cracker since 1999.
But I don't use any mail service. I do use Passport(Life time member) for the 50% campground discounts.

I use a friends home for a Florida address. I get very little mail, a Walmart bag will hold all I get in the 6 months when traveling.
I have gone paperless on all banks, CC etc.
Pay all reacquiring bills DirecTV, cell phone, Insurance vehicle & health, auto by CC or taken out of bank account.

We just went through this last week. We use Americas Home Base and working with them is great, they couldn't be more helpful. To get a FL license & registration we went to the tax collecters office. We had our passports (this really helps) 2 items with our new FL address (in our case a bill from Dish Network and a statement from the bank) and social security cards. We also had our vehicle titles. No tax if you have owned the vehicles for at least 6 months in another state. You do need to show FL insurance. We have Geico and they faxed it right to the office while we were there. They inspected the vehile VIN right there and Vin inspection for our 5th wheel was not required. It did take 3 hours but we walked out with our new license and license plates.

Try MyRVMail.com. I have been using them since October of 2011 and am very satisfied. Their office is in Crestview, FL, which is not far from Destin and Eglin Air Force Base. They give you a street address with a "unit" number. There are only a couple of decent RV parks really close to Crestview if you think you'll need to go back and forth, but if you come prepared you can accomplish everything in one or two trips.

Really great places are all about an hour away on the Gulf of Mexico.
