"You have a motorized vehicle on your policy.
A towable unit has exclusions about the distance from rivers, tidal bodies of water. That only applies when someone stores, or leaves the unit unattended for periods of time. If the unit is stored at your home and you happen to live near water that is acceptable as well. As long as someone is near or able to move it out of harmís way, we can accept that risk.
Your situation does not even warrant that concern since the unit is motorized and moveable. Let us know if you have any other concerns."

Just got off the phone with the rep...he compared the policies. AARP was $1481 & National General was $2015. Even he said WOW! Kinda a no brainer.

Without a house it is hard to get any umbrella liability coverage but RLI Insurance Company does sell a stand alone umbrella. You do have to fill out an application for it. I am able to get $1M for $123/year. Not bad.

Based on what I found when shopping, that sounds very competitive. Your AARP rate is within $40 of what I got from Progressive, a difference in value could easily explain that.

That PLUP rate also sounds very good. I was paying more than that when I owned a home.

I signed up with Poliseek. Their umbrella policy was RLI.

In fact, they come in about $400 less than any other quote when combined line for line based on basic policy and endorsements.

I just went with AARP/HARTFORD. I have very good coverage, and went over each contingency that I could think of. 500,000 liability, 250 comp, 500 collision, zero deductible on glass.. It ended up being just shy of $600 per year. Fulltime coverage and all. I made sure I talked to a underwriter to make sure they understood the meaning of full- time. I hope it works, Progressive was about $1100 per year.

That sounds like a great deal. I've never considered AARP/Hartford but will have to give them a try. Is $600 per year for all your vehicles or just the motorhome?

No, about another 550 for my car. They were about 50 more than my other policy, but overall $1150 for everything was good. I was almost paying $1100 to progressive for MH only.
