The question that I have for the Full Timers is this... What percentage of Full Timers have a Washer and Dryer in their rigs??? I'm not concerned about brands...just want to get an idea as to what percentage do their laundry on board their rig as opposed to going to a laundromat.
Would appreciate whatever input you could offer... Thank You...

Unless you have some allergy that requires dedicated w/d ... you are missing out on meeting people and exploring an area by having your own w/d.
Also, with enough clothes you can go a long time between washing.

We are half timers. We are on the road 2-3 months at a time. We have a stacked W/D and wouldn't be without it. A small load every 2 days keeps us well above the curve with clean clothes. Laundromats are okay, but I don't like my clothes in machines with who knows what. That's just our preferences.

Our 5th year full timing and we have a washer dryer. Can not do big loads but it does come in handy. Glad we have them.

When we purchased our current coach we wanted the option of having a W/D. Didn't take long for the DW to determine she wanted/needed that option implemented. However, we did lose some much-needed space but have found alternatives for storage. We have the combo unit and actually works well for us.

A W/D can be added or removed anytime later, it's no big deal. We actually removed our broken stacked W/D when we got the used fifth wheel and a year later installed a combo unit when it became apparent of it's usefulness.
Most RV's come with pre-hook ups for a W/D.
We still have the option to use laundry mats, but now it's by choice, not a requirement! Options are always a good thing.

As a part timer, we just waited and did laundry when we got home.
We went full time 18 months ago and I love our stacked w/d. Would not be without it. This is my home, I had them in my S&B, why not in my home that just happens to be on wheels?

It’s totally nifty that folks are really “campers” on this topic!
Improvising, adjusting, making the Journey constantly viable to the needs of the Campers.
We love the 6-bushel washers in the newer laundromats that few are aware of. We are in our 7th year of F/T. We have MUCH storage. We waste no time.
And the cost of the duo is never regained before the RV is traded/sold or the duo totally fails.
But, yet, RV toys are downright cool and fun, no matter the cost!

We’ve had our motorhome since 2005. Long ago paid off that addition to the coach.

Are you sure about that claim? I plan to move our W/D to our next RV if it doesn't come with one. We bought our Haire 1600 W/D used off Craigs List for $400 which saves us about $2 per small load and we average a load every other day going on 5 years of use now. The W/D has already paid for itself 4X over, not considering the convenience which sometimes is priceless.

Clearly it’s a case by cas basis . To some it’s very convenient, they hate laundromats for this reason or that .
If it’s something you Like, you’ll justify it till your blue in the face .
For others Like me , it’s meh . I don’t care to have one , we don’t mind the laundromat , never had a problem with it , it doesn’t take that much time .

Hold on here just a minute. You are supposed to 'wash' your clothes occasionally? Next your going to tell me that the shower isn't for storage and you can run water in it?
I need a nap.

Fulltimer here with a combo washer/dryer that’s not really used. We’re boondocking and dry camping almost all the time, and no hookups means no washing machine.

None in the rig. we do laundrymats as needed. Often there is a washer and dryer for campers to use at most places we stay.
