I'd say it is if you are living in it.

I've already posted on another site that the floors are starting to buckle and the tile is coming loose so..,We are going to park the Mh in storage and put all the good stuff in a storage shed that is climate controled. We are going to maine till the spring or summer. We hope to find another RV to fix thats not in as bad shape as this one.The floods really put the screws to us and this RV. So,I guess the question is a moot point. Thanks and have a good new year.We are hoping for one. by for nowDan and Deb

You may be money ahead to go ahead and junk the RV (pull anything still good first) if it's not salvageable instead of paying storage fees. It would need to sit in climate control to get the thing completely dried out if you are going to let it sit for a year.

Hi Lorna, Its in the desert and it's $30.00 a month and the manigers are friends and will keep a eye on it.Anything thats any good will be removed and put in the rv.Anything thats worth real money like the Microwave/ convection oven and stuff like that will go into the storage shed.We will take the 'other stuff' with us.I hope this is just a 'snag' that will disappear...soon!

I hope things will work out for you guys and you will get back on the road soon. Good Luck and keep posting here. Just because you are taking "time off" doesn't mean you can't post here.

Hi Lorna,I will continue to post here while we are 'fluid as this is as close to home as we can get.Thank god for computers!!
We might be a little absence while on the road but when we get there we will be back on line again. It will be hectic next week as we start packing into a storage shed and then pack the truck for the trip back to Maine.
My Nephews are looking and I've been on E-Bay and severial other sites looking and the family is trying to help out too! With all this support and everyone that we stay in contact with here we shouldn't miss the Mh for long.
We hope everyone is doing well and look foward to getting back into fulltiming soon.
We will write later, Dan

Hi there again,Slight change in Plans: we will be putting the rv in storage and plan to get it and bring it back to Maine. I have another friend that is coming over to help me start and keep the water running while the engine is running. Also, He is bringing over his compression tester and we will compare the readings from last week to his readings. Seems there is a idea that the lifters are collapsed and if run for 5-10 minites, they will start pumping up with the oil pressure. I've never heard of lifters needing that long to pump-up! If it works, One other question comes up that may be answered,Does it have a blown head gasket? Those are minor things that can be fixed,IF nothing else is broke. It has good oil pressure,I am Hopeing and keeping my fingers crossed.Prayer doesn't hurt eather.I would like to take this MH back to Maine where I would have full access to everything needed to strip out and rebuild if I choose to.Tomarrow will tell....

Hi all,So much for best made plans. The motor gave way and locked up today.I had a cyclander that wasn't hitting and today that one let go with a Bang! We are going to put the Mh on the Classifieds and sell to highest bidder.I have a bunch of money in it,but will let it all go for around maybe 6000 or so.I can't handle putting another motor in this coach.I'm not healthy enough to even try. Look for it in the IRV2.COM Classifieds this week. Hope someone out there can use all the stuff I have. We have a Cincinnati,Ohio address but the coach is in Catalina,Az. thats just north of Tucson,AZ. Thanks and Maybe I'll be able to buy a good one here on IRV2. Dan

hi Can't tell ifits my old age or a wife but I seem to be going in cyrcles and getting nowhere fast. Wife wants to keep this poor old baby abnd I guess I'll live with this but I'm still not 100 % sold on the coach.
I'm going to pull the head off and see what I'm running into as far as the engine. I have a bunch of questions that I asked in the vintage section.I guess Ill do the motor and then spray the mold and leave it for a few months and see if it stops the mold and gets rid of these water bugs! Hope it dries out real good.

Well,Here we go again. I'm going to be able to park the rv free at my aunt's home and it can sit there till it dries out real good.Nothing new yet on the motor as all our rving friends want to be with us this weekend and I should get the motor apart monday.I started it this morning but got called away for lunch and then visits from rv friends and next thing it was after 4 soo tomarrow I'll start again but they have something going on tomarrow afternoon and we just have to go too. that means monday. Tuesday and weds. we will be packing up and just getting things done as the coach will be towed to my aunts place and then we have to 'bomb the home and hit it hard with the anti-fungual chemicels to kill the mold and we will stay tyhe night at my aunts home and then start toward maine. I hope this works.

Hi,well,I got the heads off and O'boy I've got one piston cracked because of a bolt and it has bent valves too. I pulled the other head but it looks ok. I'm going to pull the pan and shove the piston out and we will see what we can get for next year when I get back out here.I'm sure I can get all back together and finish so I can bring it back home to Maine.Weds. we are packing the truck and taking that to storage and thenthursday well pack the truck and move the coach to my aunts and were planning to leave thursday nite.
Well, thats the good the bad and the ugly of it
Im signing off for now and when we get to Maine .I'll let ya all know that we made it.Hope tou all have a great Halloween and Thanksgiving,We will write later,Dan and Deb

Hey again, If things go as is planned, We will be leaving Maine for Arizona on or about the 2nd of Feburary. On the way back we will stop at my Brothers and pick up a 10 man tent and take that back to Az. to live in while we do repairs and upgrades to 'Dusty'. We are 'homesick' and want our home back again. That means that we will be repairing the engine and ripping out all the carpet and fixing the roof, walls and floors to where we can once again fulltime in it. Don't mind the tent, been there, done that. Guess we are going to again. Sometimes you do what you have to and the only way to afford the repairs that will be nesserary is to stay in tent and repair or replace whatever we need to do. When its done we can say we did it our way.
I guess that means that we will be fulltimeing it again real soon. I never fulltimed it in a tent before but there is always the first time. Will keep you up to date as we can. There is about a million things to do in order to get out of here by Feburary so I am going to get to it.
I'm back in the saddle again...
