DW and I decided to go the full timing route. Are we being unrealistic by targeting being done and gone by Halloween? We have no debt and have been back less then a year from a seven month, fifteen thousand mile trip. Have realtor and auction people coming by this evening. If you had it to do over again, what "pit falls" would you avoid?

Keep less! I've been fulltiming since 5/18 and I have started giving away stuff I thought I couldn't live without. I wish I had considered auction to get rid of my stuff, probably would have keep a lot less. I stored 3 small boxes of pictures and momentos at my daughter's.

Why wait until October? Schedule the auction, get rid of everything and go. You won't save any $ staying in your house until it's sold since you already have the motorhome. You will probably save my reducing your stick house utilities. By now you probably are itching to leave anyway.

yea don't wait. Do it now. Keep just those items that are momentos and move on. Though I'm not retired I have found over the years to keep less and less. My previous jobs kept me moving and that allowed me to liquidate.

Good Luck and Happy Trails
