Had the first yard sale last week

So after more than a month of packing stuff into yard sale boxes and storing them in the spare room we had our first yard sale last Saturday made over $300.00. We are planning 2 more then a big moving sale just before we sell the house. Our goal is to be full timing by October 1 2018. I can't believe the amount of stuff we have been accumulating in 35 years of marriage.

Been there, done that. We had three big garage sales and took tons of stuff to charity too. Don't miss 99% of the stuff we got rid of. Now we're downsizing out of our apartment into our motorhome in about 4 weeks. We've downsizing again. You'll get there

After yard sales maybe try a consignment shop, then tell them to donate the stuff that does not sale, get the remaining cash out of your stuff and not have to handle anymore. The only thing bad about this all the good stuff sells at the yard sale and the consignment met not want the left over undesirable stuff.

Yep, the ol' shop tools. That was a tuffy 4 me. I reduced my entire lifetime collection to a pretty full set of what I'll need. With my tools, spare parts, creeper, fluids, lubes, air compressor, chargers, electrical stuff and....and.....well you get the point. I dedicated one whole bay for all those things.

We just went thru that. It's amazing how many items you sell and then end up re-purchasing. Good luck!

My whole bay is a 12x32 portable garage to be delivered next week....
a 7x20 enclosed trailer will suffice for our Camp host garage in the future.

About 40% done, here, been clearing out since March. Everyday something either gets sold, put out at the street or thrown away. It is just amazing what people take from the curb.

102 things sold
100 + given away
2 extra cans on trash day since March.

Using the back of the E350 toad as the shop, kinda amazing how many tools you can put in a bucket boss. And you can see everything.

Used to dread this phase, but once you see things start to slim down. I am really getting into this, another day, another thing gone.

Sold the home speakers for $1600 yesterday, picked up new head unit for toad, yet another install to plan.

Even got $1200 from the old Bolens tractor in parts, Could not have gotten $100 trying to sell it whole.

Little eBay trick, (on phone) look up what you want to sell, go to completed items, get average price, then use "sell one like this" link to use their template. Cuts listing time down to 5 minutes per item, 24 currently listed.
