I've been reading about how people deal with living in a relatively small space.
My "Bride" and I don't get on each others nerves much. For us it's more a codependant matter that we need to have our own things to be healthy.

My personal issue is that I'm both retiring and going full time at the same time. I've heard all these stories about men going stir crazy or worse at retirement so I have been trying to develop hobbies over the years I can keep happy with.
The oldest hobby I have which is not conducive to Ft'g is Coin Collecting. Beyond keeping up with the current mint and proof sets, that one will have to wait.

What will work well is my recent (5yr) passion of Bird Watching as well as Fishing, Hiking, Reading, Cards, Bocce Ball, Working Out, and Sports on TV. (gotta get the HD thing figured out before NFL season ).

And the latest thing I've added is a Ukulele! Bought it about 2 weeks ago and now can (almost) get through Somewhere Over the Rainbow. Lov'in it!

Deborah has lots of crafty type interests such as Quilting, Needle Point, and Beading which she loves to do while the sports are on.

What do you all enjoy for hobbies?

Were not full timing yet, however I imagine my hobbys won't change. I love local dragstrips, so checking out new tracks well be fun. We both enjoy going to the shooting range, I enjoy cooking, wife likes crafty stuff.

Photography, online gaming (for rainy days), fishing, reading, knittting (cold days), hiking, gourmet cooking in a small space, eating at non-chain eateries, to name a few.

We geocache - great stimulation for both body and mind. Gets us up and out seeing little hidden gems in the areas where we stopped.

Coin Collecting need not stop, you can find lots of good deals on the low end like Lincoln Cents, Indian Head Cents, error coins and other non-precious metal coins at flea markets, antique shops and yard sales. Just watch out for the Chinese counterfeit coins! Also, while not normally profitable, there are tons of foreign coins out there for cheap.

Coin Collectin, photography, metal detecting and Amateur (Ham) Radio are some of my hobbies.

I just became semi-retired (i.e: part time) and one of the activities I planned for this time in my life is learning and becoming more proficient with Photoshop ... even though I have used it for years. But I love photography and have never had the time. I plan on getting a new Mac computer to learn on.

Also enjoy fly fishing and I will once again have time to tie my own flies when I'm not fishing.

I got into HAM radio, which is easy to do space-wise. I have a lot of fun with it.
