I am a DJ-KJ(KARAOKE) and also perform Comedy Programs. I am hoping I can secure a workamper position at a campground and that will let me perform and cordinate activities for kids and adults as part of the duties of a workamper.

We were full time for 2 years when I got a call from a consulting company wanting to know if I was interested in making some money. I explained that I was full time and that I travel. They said, no problem.

So as long as I have internet service I am good to go. I use MagicJack for my telephone and I have a Verizon Wireless Home Phone Connect. The Home Phone Connect is generally a little better quality than the MagicJack. the consulting company even pays for the internet an home phone connect service.

I have 2 more years before I can get my Social Security so this makes us all happy.

Just to revive an old but interesting thread a little bit...

I am a professional mariner, currently working in Brasil. The normal schedule is 2 months on, and 2 months off. When I started looking at full time travel, I spoke with the company and they were completely unconcerned, and happy to fly me from what ever airport I was close to.

I'm looking forward to taking some of my retirement in installments over the next few years.

Have an internet company that runs 24/7 automaticly but I still have to make calls and do programing. A good wifi set up allows me to do that so it doesn't really matter if I'm on the road or at the sticks & bricks.

I am an artist and a writer, both easy to do on the road as long as I've got internet access.

As a writer, I self publish books, short stories, and essays via LuLu.com and Kindle, and I write articles for Squidoo and Associated Content. I make $90 t0 $300 a month with Squidoo alone. I've just started using Kindle, but by the end of the year I expect to be making roughly $700 a month via it. All I need is a computer, so doesn't take up much room in the RV.

As an artist I draw (pen/ink, markers, crayons, color pencils, and pastels) and I paint (water color and acrylics). Painting takes up a bit more room, as the paint tubes are big, heavy, and bulky, and the canvas are big, so you'd need a fairly big space to keep supplies (I'd suggest a Class C motorhome so you can use the overhead cab for this). Next step requires a scanner, so you can scan the art into your computer. Once scanned, the originals and prints can be sold through Art America, originals can be sold through Etsy, and the best money maker for an artist is Zazzle where you put your art on T-shirts, greeting cards, mugs, postage, etc. (I make between $200 to $600 a month on Zazzle - stickers of my pet art are my top sellers).

I also sew dolls, cat quilts (tiny quilts for cats to sleep on), and fluffy scarves all of which I sell on Etsy for $14 to $50 each.

I'm also a card reader, spellcaster, and Hoodoo Rootworker (aka I'm a Voodoo Witch Doctor).

My income over all puts me in "poverty levels" so I couldn't afford a house or apartment on this income, but me and my cats can live like kings in a 22ft RV on it.

You will be glad to have a established job you can do from your RV when you officially retire. Unless you have savings to rely on your social security will be less then you need.

Our plan is for the wife to work as a travelling nurse. I'm retiring next year from the military and will find something to keep me occupied. Finances should be in good shape. I will work for fun.

We have yet to get on the road but we are working towards that eventually. I recently found a "work at home" job that I can also do while we are out in the RV for extended periods of time. I had been looking for something for quite awhile. I just signed up recently to sell prepackaged food geared towards preppers, camping, backpacking and frankly everyday use as well. It has a 25 yr shelf life. The food is delicious and has no preservatives, certified kosher, no hydrogenated fats and is organically grown here in the US. I am very impressed with the company so far and I think it is a very timely thing to get into. I am not sure how much I will be able to make but it looks very promising from what I can see. I can also build up my own food supply for hard times or anything else that might come up.

I have my own website and can sign people up under me from there to work or people can order the food from there. Mostly, I just market the products and send people to my website so far its been pretty easy.

Shelle: After watching "Doomsday Preppers" as well as "Doomsday Bunkers", I'm starting to see the benefits of being prepared...at least for a natural disaster that is...and having a marketing background for the last few years, I'd be interested in knowing what company you're working for...that is...if you're willing to share that information...as I'm always looking for new ways to expand my existing portfolio of income properties!

MRBB: Curious to know what type of internet company you run?
Are you into affiliate/internet marketing or are we talking Search Engine Optimization Consultant?

Word-of-mouth or through the search engines?

I have an employment testing company that provides testing via the internet.
