i am an independent AMSOIL Direct Jobber. I sell AMSOIL, Donaldson filters, WIX filters, Mann filters, Trico windshield wiper blades, NGK spark plugs and Mother's cleaners/waxes/polishes, to anyone, all at wholesale.

I sell to hundreds of individuals in person, internet or over the phone. I also sell to hundreds of retail stores, oil change and repair shops, and businesses. My smart phone is my office, and a lap top and wi-fi is often convenient. I basically sign up new accounts (many of whom approach me) and help them with technical and sales questions if needed. It is internet and phone driven, and I don't keep inventory, make deliveries or collect payment. I also help retail/repair businesses grow with free advertising and customer referrals. I get a commission every time they purchase.

We are half-timers and could easily become full-timers if we want. We can do business in the US and Canada, and sometimes attend RV/auto/boat trade shows and races.

Anyone can do this (I had no business experience. My work experience was as a chemist for a major oil/gasoline company), and I'll be glad to help you with any questions.

Hubby is a full-time trader/investor and does everything on-line. I do some writing. Been living off the income while fulltiming for 2 years now, going on 3.

Sounds like a good gig!

What is the 'testing' in relationship to?

My first thought was drug testing! LOL!

Am I close? ;-)

Sounds like you've got a pretty busy schedule w/that business!
What was the initial upfront investment to get started w/the company?

Might hit you up via PM and ask a few questions...if that's ok w/you?

Thanks!

Thought about getting into day-trading some years ago, but never went further than thinking "sounds good...might try it one day!" LOL!

I've seen/visited your blog in the past and really like the content/layout!

Have you ever given the thought about getting off wordpress.com and setting up your own blog?

You'd have more control over the type of content you could write, as well as promoting RV/Motorhome related products through various resources, such as amazon or commission junction!

Just a thought is all!

To everyone's continued success!

Thanks! Yeah I've thought about it and may make the switch one day. For the time being I like that its all free (of advertising too) but you never know what the future may bring.

Hubby mostly makes weekly or monthly trades...no day trading. Different beast altogether LOL

Not trying to hijack this thread, and not sure you want to take the time, but I'm very curious... Why would he have more control over content? I've been thinking about incorporating a Wordpress blog into my website. Where would you recommend one set up "their own blog"? How is it different? Thanks.

It's specific to the free platforms. Wordpress.com is free and it's a very versatile platform, but doesn't allow advertising or affiliate links. So if I wanted to monetize my blog I couldn't. Also some of the layout and plugins are limited so there are certain things I just can't do with the design. It just so happens that I wrote a blog about this a few days back. Don't want to side-track the conversation here so I'll direct you to that post. It should hopefully answer your questions on setting up a blog:

The great thing is I work as much or as little as I want to. I had cancer chemo for several months and didn't feel like doing much, but my customers kept purchasing and I kept getting my commissions. When I pass, my wife will cash the checks. When she passes, my son's family will cash the checks.

It is $15 for a 6 month AMSOIL Dealership. This includes a monthly AMSOIL Dealer magazine. There is also an optional business manual available for $40 that includes an open book test you can take and when you pass it, AMSOIL will send you free leads for customers who want to make purchases.

PM me anytime. I'll be glad to answer any questions you have.

Congratulations, Wendy, you are very talented. I'm wondering how you scan larger canvases. I have a full-size flatbed scanner, but I can't scan any larger pieces. Is there a special scanner out there, I've never seen one. Again, I'm not wanting to hijack this thread, which I find fascinating, but interesting questions do come up. Thanks.

I have property for sale and after it goes I will be full time in an RV. I retired from the time clock style of work at 50 following surgery and have been a DJ/KJ for 7 years. I will do this for work. I am hopeful to hook up with the Workamper group offering activities director DJ/KJ as my skill.

5 Tips To Creating & Growing An RV Blog | Wheeling It
Not to stay "off-topic" but the wordpress software is free to use anywhere.
If you have wordpress host it for free, then you have to abide by thier rules, but you can install wordpress (and move over your existing blog) on any hosted website. Some even have it setup as a one button installation.

I have a site on godaddy. $216/2 years for unlimited shared hosting, I can have unlimited domain names at $10 each/year, unlimited storage, thouasands of email addresses.

It really makes little sense to stay on wordpress.org. Just a lil google adsense account will more than pay for the hosting and doamin registration fees.

Now back to a subject I'd really like to hear more about... making a living "on the road"
