We use State Farm for our coach as well as for our two cars and house. I thought that my coach premium was a little high so I did an apples to apples comparison with Good Sam (GMAC) Insurance. I couldn't believe Good Sam coming back at TWICE the cost and with some lowered coverage! We also have an extended warranty, which some call break down insurance, from RV Elite. We have been with State Farm for 25 years. We used State Farm on a prior coach and we had a $4,000 claim which they paid under comprehensive with no deductible.
Just get a quote from several insurance companies, but make sure you are asking for the exact same coverage.
Happy Travels, Joe

HI,
We have our RV, car and house with Allied Insurance, a Nationwide Company and they cover everything in the RV. I went through an agent which is: Farm & City Insurance in Forest City, Iowa.
I used to have Progressive Insurance which was very good until they decided to raise the rates because of uninsured motorists and not anything I did.
Good Luck!

If you are truly fulltiming, with no house, then you need to have Full Timer's insurance - which State Farm doesn't have. FT Insurance also covers you for things like someone hurting themselves at your campsite - like a home owner's policy does.

We have home, car and RV insurance, all through The Hartford. They have been good with our claim and the rates seem fine.

Hey everybody. I'm an Ohio insurance agent. Licensed in pa also. If anyone has any insurance questions or thinks they are paying too much let me know i'd be happy to help you out. From one rv'er to another. Alot of these people selling these products have no idea what they are doing. They don't know the difference between a travel trailer to a class a. Buy from someone who is a camper. PM me if anyone has any specific questions. We can build a policy for a full timer. And I understand what that is rather than calling an 800 number when they have no idea what your talking about.
