Hello everyone:
I'm planning to spend the summer or part of it in Florida,I've read some mixed views of CG in New Smyrna Bch.Has anyone been at Gold Rock CG? If not any other CG in a 20 miles radious that you had been satisfied?I'm not looking for any thing fancy if possible close to the beach or I can walk to it.Another plus would be a hiking trail.
Any information will be much appreciated......araucano.

You might look around Panama City if you want to be by the beach. Smyrna will be your good hike to the beach.

Here a good one but it's 40 miles north of NSB or 20 south of St Augustine: Beverly Beach Camptown Resort You pull right up to a sea wall, if you love the ocean this is a place to try. Also near Canaveral is Jetty Park. This is where Disney, Carnival and other cruise lines leave from. The park is so-so, some really like it. It is 200 feet from the ocean about 15 miles north of NSB.

Gamble Rogers Memorial Rec Area (state) to the north near Flagler Beach is right on the water, might be worth a look:

RV Park Reviews :: Flagler Beach, Florida ( FL ) - RV Parks and Campground Reviews

Or to the south is Jetty Park, again right on the water:

RV Park Reviews :: Cape Canaveral, Florida ( FL ) - RV Parks and Campground Reviews

Neither will give you bells and whistles thou. Which we don't care about anyway. We are in a nice Passport America park in Daytona Beach now, International RV Park. Good monthly rates in the summer. But it is nowhere near walking distance to the ocean.

I'll second Beverly Beach Campground. I've stayed there for the last two years during the Daytona Turkey Run car show. It's nothing fancy or ornate. You can park right in front of the ocean, hard pack sand spaces with few patches of grass, very clean shower house/laundry and a small camp store. It's close enough for trips to both St. Augustine and Daytona. It's also very quiet and friendly.
