Kid wants to dance!
This may be a weird problem but we have been talking a lot about full timing lately and my daughter keeps bringing up this problem. She has been in competition dance classes for years now and she still wants to keep dancing but we don't know how to go about keeping her in dance. To me it seems like one or the other but any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

How old is she? Wait a couple yrs for her to go to college or are you looking at 10yrs ?

Yeah that really is our plan but she keeps saying she wants to do it with us. She's 15 so we don't have to wait long even though I'm ready now. Teenagers aren't very good at making decisions I guess!!

I don't think taking a 15-yr-old out of school and competition dance to begin full-timing is a good idea. Wait until she's out of school and into college or whatever to start your travels.

There's a family who fulltimes that offers "online" Irish dancing lessons:
Aistear Mobile Irish Dance Academy
They are friends of ours (we fulltime as a family of 4) and my daughter has been taking lessons for 6 months or so. We've caught up with Chelsea (director of Aistear) a few times for private lessons as our travel paths happen to cross.

Our plan is to wait for her to go to college but she wants to do it now! I have a feeling she thinks it's just a way to get out of school!!

Have to agree - don't try to move a high schooler, especially one with an identified must-do activity. It will only lead to unpleasantness, which would be magnified 10,000 fulled in the small confines of an RV.

We absolutely adore Fulltime Families!
We just came from a rally of 70 families. So many people and such wonderful connections. This has been our 6th rally with them over the years.

Well of course it's up to us to make the "life changing " decisions. I just meant she wouldn't be able to decide between full timing or dance�� . And our plan the whole time was to wait until she goes away to college but I was just wondering what anyone else did with the same situation.
