hi everyone
and happy holidays

i like to have our location noted in the signature
to me, it is important to share on the forum / in my posting where we current are
before full timing, we noted location our as 'home' (vancouver, bc)
but now we are full timing

so...
those of you who full time, what do you do about this
- change your signature each time you re-locate
- omit your location
- something else?

i have seen a few signatures with a data storm map "where we are" and you can click it and see where the person is
not part of the datastorm group - so assume this is not an option

thanks!
regards, pdq

We make our daughters back yard our home base while traveling and use her address for mail. We stay here after every trip to spend time with grandkids before moving on again, so we list that as to where we are from. When we travel, we don't always stay in one place long enough to bother changing our signature and this way people know what state we are from.

We spend every winter in So Cal and in the summer we travel or park host somewhere. I usually change my location twice a year to give a general idea where we are.

You can download Google Lattitude to any Android phone for free. Then add a snippet of html text to any webpage and that will always show your current location. Visit our retirement homepage for an example of how it looks: D & D World Travel. This is a very easy thing to do and step-by-step directions are given on the Google Lattitude website.

Why are you so interested in people knowing where you are? One thing to remember, if you change something in your sig line, it will change in every post that you've ever posted.

The great thing about Fulltiming is there is no right or wrong to it. If you want to use the DataStorm map to post your location go for it. We've been long time DataStorm users, but don'tuse it in our sig line. There is always someone who will try to tell you the right or wrong way to do things, but if you do what you want, you will always be right. If you see 2917 near you some day it will be us. Best of luck in your travels.
