Looking for feedback. When we retire we'll have medical thru work which will include maintenance meds--ie mail order 90/180 day perscriptions. (my dream is that when we get rid of the jobs & house the stress will lesson & we won't need the meds. LOL) When we sell the stix & brix we'll most likely not return to Chicago area. If we get doctors for the yearly check ups near my kids outside of KC will we have problems getting the meds sent to a home base mailing address in say TX or ND...???? How do you all handle this????? Thnx!

I send my prescriptions to the mail order company. They get listed on my account on their website. When I place the order for refills I have the choice of selecting the address on file or having them sent to a temporary address. They also ask if the address is for just this order or for all future orders. Credit card is on file so no security issues using internet order. Our accounts are listed
together so I can order for both of us at the same time. It can take up to 2 weeks for processing and delivery (free) but with a three month window I have always been able to get our meds delivered to where we are. As a suggestion, have the doctor write one set of prescritions for a one month supply and do not get them filled, just carry them with you. Your other set will be for a 3 month supply (6?) to send to your mail order pharmacy.

We also use a mail order pharmacy. We use Medco and have all of the meds sent to our 'address' in Livingston, Tx. We even get our cat's meds sent to our address and then just call after we are sure they are in and have them included with our next mail shipment. Never have had a problem doing it that way in 2 years.

If you use someone like Walgreens (what we use) you can order the refill on the internet for pickup at any store.
