On 4/14/13 I gave Coach-Net my best kudos. Today I discovered that I have a leaky valve stem on the front tire on the RV. I called Winnebago Road Service (Coach-Net) and was shocked to talk to a very unprofessional service tech. I ended up talking to the service manager who confirmed that they will not cover the service call for a front tire repair, only a replacement. His only suggestion was to have the service person switch the front tire with a rear, then have the tire repaired. Of course all labor is at my expense, so this is a waste of money and there is no way I want my new matched front tire, about 10000 miles, replaced with my rear, 40000 miles tire.
Apparently the difference in service is that Coach-Net was bought out by NMC National Motor Club. I pointed out that I've been a loyal customer for about 15 years but that had no impact. So as of this Friday I now have Good Sam Road Service for the next three years at $79.95 / yr. Good Sam confirmed that they would cover the service call for any tire repair, front or rear. Now I'm waiting for Coach-Net administration to call me back to negotiate a prorated refund of my $297.99 for three years of service (99.33 / yr)

I'm not so sure you're getting what you think you're getting. Here's a quote from Good Sam ERS tire coverage:
"If you get a flat tire while you're on the road, we'll have an experienced technician come and change it with your spare. If you don't have a spare, we'll utilize our tire network to find you one. (You are responsible for the cost of parts and labor.)"

I just cancelled my GS platinum roadside service after three months because it was plainly obvious that it was going to be of very limited benefit.

Can you tell us why its plainly obvious that it was going to be of very limited benefit?

Tony,
I'd also like to know why it's plainly obvious that it's going to be a very limited benefit.

I understand that part. My issue is Coach-Net told me the only alternative for the front tire is a replacement, if the tire is not replaced then the service call is not covered. GS said the service mechanic will have a replacement tire if needed and in my example the mechanic would fix the valve stem. In any of these policies we're responsible for the parts and labor.
I'm particularly interested in this issue because a couple of months ago I had Coach-Net refuse to cover a service call based of the notion I requested a repair. I had a bedroom slide that had a broken bolt and per Winnebago, any attempt to retract the slide would cause additional damage so the practical solution was to fix the broken bolt. Coach-Net would not budge on the issue.

Coach-Net does have three levels of coverage, however only the Premier Coach level at $159 includes All-Inclusive Coverage, which covers family members and all of your other personal vehicles owned, rented, borrowed or leased. The other two lower levels do NOT provide this coverage.

Good Sam Roadside Assistance provides this coverage on all three levels of their programs Compare RV Roadside Assistance Plans | Good Sam

On Edit: If you have Coach-Net Gold or Platinum Plus through FMCA then both plans provide the All-Inclusive Coverage, and can continue to be renewed. If you are a member or join FMCA, both of these programs are still available for purchase.

Maybe he lost his driver license. Sold his RV. Doesn't have a wife or siblings. Won the lottery and has a lot of $$$$$$.

Would be the only reason I know of to drop a ERS.
