Need advice from writers

I'm excited this week because my first children's historical novel "The Tree at the Top of the Hill" is in the hands of a POD publisher. It's the first of a series I'm working on as we travel the country.
I would love to hear from others who have gone this route with any advice you have for marketing, and the business end of writing while on the road.
