Great question with great responses. DW and I are planning on full timing it and retiring in another year or so. Doing a few fix-em-up things to the S&B to make it more salable and bring top dollar. That will put us in a debt free position then workamping our way around the USA.
I read all I can whenever I get the chance on the subject.
Thanks everyone

There are many ways to cut your expenses, we volunteer at two or three different locations a year. It gives us time to explore a new area, reduces fuel expense, and cuts camping fees to zero while volunteering. The choice of volunteer positions are numerous and most will give training to help ensure both you and they benefits from the experience. My wife prefers interpretive positions where I prefer maintained but we know many that enjoy camphosting.

We've done this, also. .... not only for a free campsite but it's a good feeling to give back to the kinds of parks we enjoy. We've done it for national and state parks and Fish & Wildlife. We loved giving lighthouse tours.

We thank y'all for your insight and advice. It's greatly appreciated.
One more question about firearms in the motorhome. We'll be full time, won't have another residence so the motorhome will be home. With an LTC in Texas there are quite a few states that honor the LTC from Texas to carry concealed. My question is about having a firearm in the motorhome while in a state that is not gun friendly, like New Jersey. That's where our son now lives. Or New York, where the rest of the family lives. We don't want to have to meet up with them in, say, Pennsylvania. The motorhome will be our residence. Will the law consider it a vehicle? Someone told me to ship it to myself to a Post Office in a nearby gun friendly state, general delivery, and go pick it up after the visit. Thanks.

Every state has their own laws. They are very different and specific to their own state.
Recommend getting a book like this:

Pay attention to the firearms laws. NY & MA are mandatory jail time the last I looked. NJ may well be now.
