Smile Organized Living suggestions for full timers

Hello All,

Still intend to go full time next Spring and was wondering if any threads have covered the subject of organized living in an RV ??? I know there are many ideas , with photos, that are posted on Pinterest so I was wondering why the subject of how to organize and utilize your RV storage spaces more efficiently hasn't become a regular RV Forum item especially under the Full-Timers Forum.

Going forward I challenge all of the Marie Kondo types out there to get busy posting how you have used creative ideas for maximizing and/or organizing your RV living and storage space . Some of the greatest ideas are often the simple and inexpensive ones so let's hear it !!!!

We have been full timing for 22 years now.
We started before cell phones and computers, forums in our lives.

I have NO CLUE AS TO WHAT YOU ARE EVEN TALKING ABOUT???

Its a no brainer. If you havnt developed organizational , DIY and creative thinking skills by now ???
You wont survive.

If someone has to tell you How to do it ???

This is NOT THE LIFE FOR YOU.

More and more people have been raised and trained NOT TO THINK FOR THEMSELVES.

From my observation
Reading this Forum certainly proves my point.

Do a search for basement organization in the search box on the forum and you will find a lot of useful tips. This was discussed as recently as two days ago here and the ideas presented with pictures where very good.

i would not say it is not for you but each person or couple have different needs each floor plan has different storage so it is more personalized not one size fits all

The key is minimize. Get rid of everything but the basic essentials. RVs by their nature are small (350SQFT) maximum. That means your living room and maybe the bathroom is the amount of space you have to work with. No amount of organizing is going to allow you to cram everything in and still have living space.

The OP never even indicated at all that he had zero ideas about where to start, he's simply asking for suggestions on what other people have done - perhaps to prevent a re-do as a better idea comes along. And since a picture is worth a thousand words, he's asking to see pictures. To state unequiviocally that this is not the life for him might be taking things just a bit too far.

Podivin,
Thanks for posting your response -- it's ok, I'm a big boy. I'm always amazed at the varied responses to forum posts on this website. They range everywhere from amazingly helpful, and nice, to just downright arrogant, ignorant and rude. Like Forest Gump said ,here in Alabama, " Life is like a box of chocolates , you never know what you're going to get".

Our most important organization problem is finding spots to effectively carry our wine so that it stays relatively still and at room temperatures. Tried the basement, but not good for going across the desert in September. We use area under the coach (jack-knife), and a couple of other places were we can set case boxes (we end up with several cases by the time we head for Arizona and the winter) plus a couple of overhead cabinets fitted with wine holders. All about the priorities.

I try to live by the "Less is More" philosophy. If I'm having trouble storing things, I get rid of some of them to make it easier. That's probably not the answer you're looking for, but it's what works for me. Most people, including myself, have way more stuff than they need. If you haven't used it in the last year, you don't need it.
