Am taking a travel nurse position for 13 weeks and can't take the trailer on this one. I need to close it down for the time frame. I am in Wisconsin and it will get cold here. What do I do with the hot water heater? I have tried to get all the water out of tanks but I suspect there is more lurking in there. I have heard others use antifreeze. Where do I put it in. Do I need to pour some in the toilet as well? Don't want to come back to frozen water heater. I do have the option to leave the propane heat on and someone check it every day. There is no running water at this site so no new water to worry about. Only elec. At this time. Thanks for advice.

You need to drain your hot water heater and operate the bypass valves near it.
By-pass valves operated stops RV Anti from entering the water heater also make sure you shut off electic heating element if you use it.
With the water drained what ever is left will not matter just leave drain hole open.
The rest of your plumbing system pump RV Anti through it to protect your toilet valves and water faucets.
Place Anti in your traps, sinks, shower and tanks so it protects your dump valves.
You can adapt this thread for what is needed to be done in your trailer.

Drain all of the water and put RV antifreeze in the sink/shower drains. Don;t forget the water pump, toilet valve and the water filter.
