permanent address dilemma
I've scanned the posts and can't find what I really need and that is someone that has the experience to direct us on what to do RE a permanent address - one that works when you need it. Please read on:
We are 'extended use' RV owners and are considering leaving the sticks and bricks behind only to rent a home or apartment when we feel the need.
We have been residents of Florida for many years and would establish this new permanent address in FL due to our current business and tax framework and don't want to change domicile to TX or SD.
There are a number of mail forwarding services that offer a permanent address in FL - so the question is, do these things really work when you need them? What I mean is, what happens when we want to trade this RV for another and need to go through the financing process again? Will this so called permanent address satisfy the lenders? Who has experience with this?
(I've read posts where a lender recongnizes the Escapees address, for example, and this throws a flag and has created a dilemma when seeking loan approval....)

MobileCEO,
We have been full time for just over 4 years now and have used Good Sam's mail forwarding service. It is based in Pensacola and that would become your legal address for license, tags, bank stuff, etc. It costs us $10 per month plus postage when we have our mail sent to us (usually once a month). Works for us,
Bob

Same situation - professional licenses at risk also - FL & TX real estate brokers licenses, FL RN license + both wife and I have concealed weapons licenses. Have you received any solutions?

Not sure if this answers your question, but we have a SD domicile and use a mail forwarding address. We purchased a new Jeep Wrangler Unlimited last November and financed part of it. We had no problems with financing using our PMB address and it was purchased in Arizona.

Mobile CEO;
I have been with an outfit called St. Brendan's Isle for about 10 years. They are based in Florida, near Jacksonville, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. Their service is $11 a month, plus postage, and they offer a web site that you can use to coordinate sending your mail, or simply call them.
My DL is at this address, as well as vehicle reg's, concealed permit, insurance, banking and pretty much anything else.
In 10 years, I have had them forward my mail literally all over the world, and never had the slightest whiff of a problem.
Good luck...

I too recommend TX for a domicile state and Escapees Mail Service for your permanent address. Also highly recommend SD and FL; both of them have many good mail forwarding services.
