planning ahead

We have decided to go "homeless" about two years from now. Our Tuscany seems to fit us well and we enjoy the travel. The first thing we need to try to figure out is how to takevboth motorcycles and a car with us. Or maybe just the motorcycles. Is anyone full timing with motorcycles only?

Beyond that, any advice on planning for this future event? The plan right now is to "burn the ships" by selling the house.

Lose the car and tow a pickup truck with the MC's in the truck bed.

An enclosed trailer is another option many people choose but it brings with it the challenge of finding a place to park it.

First you will not be homeless, you will be HOUSELESS, your home will always be with you.

I would second the recommendation to get a small truck to put the motorcycles in and pull behind the MH. If it all possible, you want to tow 4 down because having a trailer to have to figure out what to do at a park for just overnight might be a problem.

And we had friends who tried to fulltime using just motorcycles for their daily driver (they had an MDT for pulling their big trailer) and they quickly found that many things they wanted to do weren't easy from just the motorcycles and they ended up using the MDT for a lot of daily runs. 2 years latter, they sold the 5er and MDT as well as the bikes, and went for a MH and car because they found those worked better, especially since they have become avid geocachers.

Actually in Michigan if you live in an RV you are concidered homeless and can get a bunch of free stuff. Pretty much free rent and food no matter how much you make

YOU CAN DO IT! - And take it all with you on a "tandem Dolly."
See this thread: http://www.irv2.com/forums/f103/moto...er-133538.html
Or search the forum for "tandem dolly"

They are not too complicated and made by a few companies including Landgrebe:
Landgrebe Manufacturing: Specifications TD 40 101 with Motorcycle Carrier

+Plus+ on a dolly, there's no modificatrion to your car for towing!

...or you could sell the Tuscany and get an Outlaw - Class "A" Toyhauler for the moto's and tow the car...haha

Best of luck!
