It has been going up as it get's closer to the time when the snowbirds get ready to head north. It's at 3.08 for reg and 3.39 for diesel. Today I saw it go up and down all day as much as 5 cents on the dollar???
This is in Arizona near Tucson. Whats in your area?

In Fredericksburg, TX (north of San Antonio) regular unleaded is $2.69. Looks like we have a bargain so we might stay here another week or two.

A useful tool for gas prices.

http://www.gasbuddy.com/gb_gastemperaturemap.aspx

It's only approximate of course and the prices shown are based upon what website users submit but it still gives some idea of what gas will cost when traveling through different states.

Grr... variation in gas prices in a single city is bugging me. Usually the north end of town here where I live is the cheapest, south end is more expensive (the poor end of town, oddly enough). Anyway I saw the EZ Mart up here have gas for $2.75, went on downtown for something, on the way back I came up a more main road with a few gas stations along the way. Passed the shell station with the price of $2.71 (heading north from downtown) and got up to the next one, Exxon, it was $2.72 or something and next door to it was a Speed X station or something, $2.68 so I pull in there and get $25 worth (a bit over 1/4 tank of gas). Headed on home from there, happened to pass by wal-mart the route I took and it was $2.65 there. So much for saving any money at the other station. Although there was no waiting at the other station so I didn't have to wait 10 minutes idling to pay $0.03 less. If I had gotten a WM card I could have gotten it for $0.06 less. *sigh*

In case you haven't noticed yet, if you zoom in close enough to take away the temp colors (the map turns tan) it starts showing stations and prices that the website users have submitted.

Map also available for Canada, but with less detail.

What I can't figure out is how to submit prices. Seems like this is something we RVers should be doing to help each other.
