Pulling my office

So we are planning to FT in our motorhome. Problem is, I still need to work and it does not have any place I can set up an office inside. We have considered trading in our coach for something with an office but that would present other problems--mainly the sleeping arrangements because we bought a bunk model so our 3 yr old will have her own bed.

So, I was at a dealer today and noticed these guys: Aliner

I thought what a perfect size for an office! It would give me a private working area away from our living quarters where I can work undisturbed and set up my computers, printers, etc.

Is this a practical solution to my problem? Ever seen anyone else pulling their office on the road? I realize I would be forced to pay for 2 sites at many RV parks and CGs.

Many businesses are hauled behind in closed trailers. Some like NASCAR vendors haul merchandise. But it would not require two campsites as most campgrounds allow trailers to co-exist for the toads. (Others use these trailer to tow classic cars.) Even horse trailers with living quarters are classy these days and would be wired and climate controlled and the stalls could convert easily. Use imagination!

Hmm I did not know campers were allowable as toads. Thanks for that. Still might have to take 2 sites if I want power to both though.

You can tow whatever you want behind your MH as long as the tow rating is not exceeded.

However, it may be difficult if not impossible to use your MH to park a trailer in a campsite due to the length of the MH.

If it is obvious you are using your rig for and commercial business, you MAY be ticketed for lack of proper licensing, and insurance.

Check with your accountant.

I believe you could write off the entire cost of that trailer plus all the added expenses of campgrounds if it is used as an office.

Several toyhaulers have separate garages that could be turned into an office. They have a loft that could become a "bedroom" for your child and a master for you.

You really need to consult a tax attorney, IRS laws are complex and penalties too harsh to do otherwise. Your office may not be used for ANY other purpose and must be separate from the living areas is my understanding.
