Rigging up the night before trip OK?

May sound dumb but gotta Newbee question. We're the ones totalled by the Texas twister a few weeks ago. Got new trailer, and after the Canton killer twister yesterday we're outta North Texas in the morning. Question-is it acceptable to completely load up this afternoon ready to pull out in the morning? 36 ft bumper pull, scooter in truck bed F250 gasser. Dumb question but concerned about prolonged weight issues. Paranoia I guess, but as I said this tornado thing has got me a little beat down. Thanks in advance.

If the fridge is on, try to be as level as possible while sitting still, but yes, hitched up and ready to go is fine. The trailer will wobble a bit when you move around, but that's ok.

Sorry for all your troubles. We always hook up the night before. Just make sure to visually check things in the morning in case someone messed with your set up. Not likely, but just to be safe.

Sure, hook up. No difference than when on the road and you don't unhitch for an overnight. Try to be reasonably level for refrig.

Yes hook up the night before and Tony has a good point to visually check all connections and hitch pins in the morning. Actually a good idea when ever you are hooked up and sitting for a bit (campground, supermarket, sight sightseeing), as you just never know if someone had monkeyed with it or something has come loose.

Wow, sorry to hear about it hitting your area.
Be safe out there by not overloading the RV. Make sure tire pressures are set properly for the load it is carrying.
You don't need another disaster with a blowout on the road.

Boarman we are right behind you. Came back to Texas to do some doctor stuff & hope to be gone next week. We are east of Terrell and just west of Canton. The worst of the 4 tornado's missed us by 21 miles. We have have decided we are only coming back here in the fall from now on-no more spring visits. Travel safe and enjoy the adventure. There's much to see and do. Good luck.
