RV Insurance for Full Timers

Shop around and make sure you compare apples to apples.
When a company makes a conscience decision to get out of a certain line of business they will sometimes skyrocket the increases.
Also, shop around every year. Never know if there is another company in "town" and running some discounted rates to gain market share.
Insurance companies are like employers, NO loyalty. Just make sure you make fair comparisons.

A thought to consider: Insurance company rates are based largely on days of use and anticipated miles to be driven annually. I'm not FT and insured with National General. They focus on type of use, days of use and annual miles. Since I still have a S&B my discounts are great but when you have no S&B you loose a substantial reduction.

Also, all insurance companies don't cover RVs the same. Many I looked at didn't cover many of the items inside the RV, whereas I am now covered and paying 1K less than before.

Since your children live in IL, and your DL and vehicle tags are IL you could use them as your domicile with them sending your mail to you on the road. I did this while we were on the road back in 1989.
