i've been with dish since 03 and have never been charged for no phone line. in fact, my cell phone is my home phone, so i dont even have phone lines. i pay the 5 dollar fee for extra receiver and take it with us when we travel. been doing it for years. in fact, as we speak were 400 miles from home and it's on right now. we always pay our subscription yearly so that may have something to do with it. dave.

In this case there is about a $5 difference!
I was not aware that Dish Network work tack on such a stupid charge and I don't know why anyone would agree to pay it. There is certainly no cost difference to Dish so it's just a blackmail charge to try to force you to connect to a phone line. They know that the "click and buy" option for pay per view is powerful but dang! that's got to be the stupidest charge I have ever heard of.

This is just a guess, but I would imagine Dish Network abandoned the RV group when Dish lost the ability to provide DNS to their customers.
